Day 93 - Wednesday, July 4th 2018: Ardmore to Camus 24 km / Total 1928 km, 21°C, sunny
Clouds! I never thought I could be happy to see clouds! Cool-weather, it felt so good. I really enjoyed it. So the first kilometres to Kilkieran, where would be my only food point of the day, were very pleasant.
The bistro was supposed to open at 10 am, but the food delivery was late. So they only opened at noon. I took time to charge my phone and filled up my bottle. And at 2 pm I still had 20 km to walk.
In the first part, the road was along the mountains, not very busy, but it was the same landscape for two hours, mountains on the left, sea on the right. And then it was only rocks, grass, lakes, sea. I got lost in my mind. I don't know why, but the thing I wanted to do at that moment, was to go to Ikea. I must be missing being in a home!
As I passed in front of a house just outside Camus, there was a dog waiting, a border collier, looking at me. He seemed to be nice and didn't shout at me. He came to me, saying nothing, and as I passed in front of him, he bit my ankle. I didn't understand why. I shouted at him, and he left. Maybe he wanted to play. His mistress in the garden didn't pay attention. I felt lucky that the part he bit was protected by my shoe, sock and strong pants.
