Day 77 - Tuesday, June 12th 2018: Doogort to Ashleam 28 km / Total 1640 km, 18°C, sunny
I was in very good shape on that day, with no painful feet, which is why I walked so much.
The morning was cloudy, so it wasn't too hot. I followed one of the cycle trails on a little road to Bullsmouth before getting back on the main road. Just after the valley, some lost tourists asked me for their way and if I was familiar with the area. Familiar no, but I knew where I was and how to read a map, which was enough to help them.
After a stop in Cashel for lunch, the sun was back in the afternoon, and I decided to take the longest road via Mweelin. It was very pleasant, almost wild nature, no one on the road, just hills. Maybe it's because it's an island, but there's a less closed field here.
After the little beach of Dooega, the road was along beautiful white cliffs. I found a place for my tent at the end of a path, closed to the sea. But until I reached it, a campervan, which seems to have the same idea, arrived first there. I didn't mind, and put my tent apart, at the end of the field. It was windy, so it made it harder, longer and more complicated to build my broken tent, especially when you try to avoid all the sheep's poo. But it stood up, and I fell asleep happy with my day.
