Day 66 - Thursday, May 31st 2018: Kilcommon to Belmullet 21 km / Total 1415 km, 20°C, cloudy

After my very good sleep and with clean clothes, I was back on the road. Weather changed, no more hot sun, it was misty and fresher, which I really appreciated. As I left Kilcommon, I passed in front of a cemetery, and a sign said that after a landslide in 2003, some graves had been washed away into the ocean. Even the dead can't rest in peace. The ocean takes it all of Ireland: its land, its people and even its dead.

In the morning, I walked a little road along the cliffs, very quiet, and I hardly could see Belmullet Peninsula. Then after a stop for lunch in Barnata, it was a bigger road with more traffic. There was still a kind of fog, and I could hardly see the Slievemore mountain on the long-distance on Achill Island. After a petrol station, there was a footpath so, to avoid the traffic noise, for once, I could walk listening to music, which is sometimes good.

In Belmullet, I could do some shopping and bought myself some food. As I was looking for mosquitos repellent in a pharmacy, a woman approached me and asked if I was Pauline. It was Mary, who was going to host me for the night and recognized me (well with such a big bag ...). So she picked me up and drove me her house.
