Day 59 - Thursday, May 24th 2018: Aughris Head to Rathlee 23 km / Total 1269 km, 14°C, sunny

It has been so hot, there's now a fog on the sea hiding the view on Donegal Bay.

A man came at 8 am to put his surf camp on the grass, and at 9 am, another one came to cut the grass. At least I wasn't planning on sleeping in in the morning.

On the road, I saw Split Rock. According to the legend, the Giant Finn McCool failed to throw it into the sea so, angry, he split it with his sword.

I followed the coast road to Easky where there's a castle (well, a big tower).

At 4 pm, I definitely needed to eat something and stopped for a fresh salad. Out of the town, Carmel who was going to host me for the night, stopped her car and asked if I was Pauline and if I needed a lift, but I had to walk one more hour.

In the evening, there were two Australian girls at Carme's house, and they offered me to try seaweed for dinner. It's a little bit chewy but it's not so bad, cooked like spaghetti with some tomato sauce.
