Day 58 - Wednesday, May 23rd 2018: Glen wood to Aughris Head 18 km / Total 1246 km, 22°C, sunny

In the end, my night was not so awful. I quickly packed my stuff in the morning and found a table in a resting area, to cook my breakfast, and dry my tent. Peaceful moment in the forest, with blue sky, birds singing, wind in the leaves, flying butterflies. Enjoying nature.

Then I got down the road in the forest which was pleasant.

After few kilometres along the big road (where I almost missed a car crash, as an old man was on his phone while driving, got into the road while a truck was coming and overpassed by a car), I took a smaller road, with no more trees, so no more shadow. Too hot, despite my t-shirt and hat. 22°C but it felt like 32°C in Paris as there was no fresh air. I finally found a tree to take a quick nap under. Then I found a little shop, where I bought my lunch (potatoes bread), fresh water and ice cream (I deserved it with such temperature). The owner asked me if I was going to take the longer or the shorter way. There is a shorter way? Yes, along the beach. I felt so lucky! I really have a good star looking after me, putting that shop on my road, in order to make me take the easiest and freshest way by the beach.

In Aughris Head, the local pub had a piece of grass for campers, so I put my tent there, in front of the beach. I put my feet in the water, which felt great and cool. I almost had the beach for myself. And thanks to the pub, I had dinner and a fresh beer after such a hot day.
