Day 37 - Friday, April 27th 2018: Grianan of Aileach to Letterkenny 26 km / Total 813 km, 10°C, cloudy

I had to rescue a little lamb. As I was walking along a field, I heard a lamb crying, and his mum running to him, screaming too. I got down to see what was going on. In fact, there was a little river, and the lamb was stuck between it and the barrier of his field, on a little section of land. So I decided to cross the river and help him to get back in his field, while his mum was already leaving him. The lamb was afraid of me and his situation, and it was quite complicated to catch him, but I finally took him in my arms and throw him on the other side of the barrier, when he ran directly to his mother. Good action was done for the day.

The rest of the day was less interesting, just a long walk along the big road N13, to Letterkenny. Another full Irish Breakfast at a dinner. Big traffic, big car noises (not real fresh air). In fact, as the ferry crossing Lough Swilly only works in summer, I had no other choice than to walk around it. Five days of walk, 100kms. And Letterkenny, which is the biggest city of Donegal, is almost in the middle of the county.

When I arrived at my hostel, I was quite disappointed, because I chose it to wash my clothes, and the washing machine actually can't be used by guests. The place was cold, even with a heating mattress, I didn't feel well there, and I was really tired. Only one fireplace in the main building, while I had a room in the annexe, smelling cold tobacco. Disappointed.
