Day 111 - Wednesday, July 25th 2018: Ballybunion to Heirhill 24 km / Total 2274 km, 22°C, sunny

Having a long day of walk to do, I check out early in the morning. The town was still quiet and the sun was shining.

Some traffic on the road to Ballyduff. And the sides of the road were really full of rubbish: bottles, cans, plastics, clothes, shoes, coffee cup, etc. I was really upset with that because I really thought the Green Island was green. I never imagined it could be so dirty, and I would have to walk on litter.

After lunch in a little shop in Ballyduff, I chose to walk the coast road which was a smaller road, but still with some traffic: tractors, agriculture trucks, etc. And still a lot of cows all around. On the road, there was a sign "no tip zone" and I still wonder what that means, but I think it was related to electricity.

Kilometres after kilometres. Field after field. Every hour was almost the same as the day before and the one after. At the end of the day, I didn't know what I'd been thinking about. How all these hours and kilometres could go by without noticing it except the pain of my feet?

I found a place for my tent on an official walking footpath, with enough grass and surrounded by trees taller than me, hidden from houses and the road. But of course, at 9 pm someone walking his/her dog came around. Three times. And said nothing.
